Show full description

Interview patients before scheduled procedures including medical history and medication review. Performs nursing assessment activities and preoperative orders for diagnostic tests. Performs education activities according to facility policy and procedure and as ordered by the physician. Documents explanation of preoperative instructions to patient and significant other/guardian.
