*To Stand Out*
Email Nikky Vogelgesang at *nicole.vogelgesang@hhcare.net* with your resume and tell us:
- About your nursing background.
- What you enjoy about working with older adults.
- What you're hoping to find in your next RN position.
*What If You Could Actually Know Your Patients?*
In many nursing environments, your assignment changes every shift.
New patients. New rooms. New diagnoses. New discharges.
You provide excellent care, but before you've really gotten to know someone, they're gone.
*Senior living nursing is different.*
At Elmore Assisted Living, you'll care for residents over time. You'll learn their medical histories, personalities, routines, families, and what "normal" looks like for each individual.
That matters clinically.
When you've known someone for months instead of hours, *you notice when something isn't right*.
If you're an RN who misses having genuine relationships with the people you care for, this may be the change you've been looking for.
*Why Consider Senior Living Nursing?*
- *$35.00-$50.00/hour based on experience.*
- *+$1.00/hour Weekend Differential.*
- Part-Time evening opportunity.
- Build *long-term relationships with residents and families*.
- Work with a consistent population instead of receiving an entirely new assignment every shift.
- Develop experience in *geriatrics, dementia care, chronic disease management, and senior care*.
- Use your assessment and critical-thinking skills with meaningful independence.
- Work alongside caregivers and medication staff who know the residents well.
- Join a close-knit community with accessible leadership.
- Opportunity for continued professional growth within Sunflower Communities.
*Knowing Your Residents Makes You a Better Nurse*
A blood pressure or oxygen saturation can tell you something.
Knowing the person sitting in front of you can tell you even more.
Maybe they're suddenly quieter than usual.
They're walking differently.
They're confused when they normally aren't.
They're eating less.
Something about their breathing has changed.
Because you know your residents, you're able to *recognize subtle changes, assess what's happening, and intervene appropriately*.
You'll also have caregivers who spend significant time with residents and can tell you, "Something just seems different today."
Then it's your job to put the clinical pieces together.
*What You'll Be Doing*
- Perform resident assessments and respond to *changes in condition*.
- Administer medications and treatments.
- Develop and update individualized service plans and nursing interventions.
- Provide clinical oversight and guidance to caregivers and medication staff.
- Communicate with residents and families about changing healthcare needs.
- Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, hospitals, therapists, hospice, home health, and other healthcare partners.
- Support admissions and transitions of care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Help ensure compliance with *Minnesota Assisted Living regulations and clinical standards*.
- Participate in shared rotating on-call responsibilities.
*Bring the Nursing Experience You Already Have*
Assisted Living or Memory Care experience is valuable, but it's not the only background that can translate well.
We'd like to meet RNs coming from
- Assisted Living.
- Memory Care.
- Long-Term Care.
- Skilled Nursing.
- Home Health.
- Hospice.
- Hospital Nursing.
- Geriatrics.
- Community-Based Care.
We're especially interested in nurses with *strong assessment skills, sound clinical judgment, and the confidence to make decisions independently*.
*More Than Clinical Care*
Your residents won't only know you as "the nurse."
You'll become the person a daughter calls when she has a question about her mom.
The person caregivers turn to when they're concerned about a resident.
The person who can recognize when something has changed because *you know what that resident was like yesterday*.
That's a different kind of nursing relationship.
*Find Your Way Back to Relationship-Based Nursing*
You don't have to choose between using your clinical skills and having meaningful relationships with your patients.
At Elmore Assisted Living, you can have both.
Sunflower Communities is a Minnesota-based senior living organization focused on creating environments where older adults can thrive and healthcare professionals can provide the kind of care they're proud of.
If you're looking for *strong hourly compensation, clinical independence, a consistent resident population, and nursing that allows you to genuinely know the people you're caring for*, we'd love to meet you.
