Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of dedicated nursing professionals at Chicago Ridge SNF. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for organizing and assigning all jobs to be done on your shift, providing exceptional care to our residents, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities

Organize and assign all jobs to be done on your shift, ensuring that the workload is evenly divided among your employees based on staff size and qualifications

Administer medications and care for clinical nursing needs of residents on your wing

Make daily rounds on the wing to ensure that individual Care Plans are being followed and assess each resident's status in accord with their Care Plan

Assist in updating the Care Plan every 30-90 days depending on the resident's condition

Participate in staff meetings to keep staff performance at an optimum level

Administer or supervise all treatments prescribed by physicians, including decubitis care, foley catheter care, hot and cold compounds, intravenous care, and more

Receive or place calls to physicians and transcribe all physician's orders

Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care and charting

Supervise and direct the nursing staff to ensure that they are providing exceptional care to our residents

Ensure that all medications and treatments are charted by the person administering the medication or completing the treatment on their assigned shift

Prepare incident/accident reports, events, and observations using the EMR system

Ensure that established infection control and universal precaution practices are maintained when performing nursing procedures

Follow established fire, disaster, safety, infection control, and evacuation policies and procedures

Perform other related duties as directed by the DON, ADON, or the Administrator

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Registered Professional Nurse's license in the State of Illinois

Must have working knowledge of general nursing

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and mature judgments

Must have the ability and willingness to supervise and work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel

Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner

Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine job duties

Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the elderly

Knowledge of JCAHO, OBRA, IDPH, and HFS regulations related to duties and responsibilities

Salary: $35 + Bonus
