Description: Job Summary: The primary duty of the Registered Nurse is to monitor and care for the patient during Interventional Radiology and Vascular procedures. The nurse also liaises between the patient, healthcare providers, and family. The nurse is to be familiar with the overall function(s) of the Interventional Radiology and Vascular specialty. The job incudes preop, intraop (circulating), and post op. Must be able to travel to all clinic sites including: Craig Ranch (McKinney), Addison, Mesquite, South Dallas, and Arlington. Essential Duties / Responsibilities: Prepare patients for procedures Analyze lab results and medical history Provide education to the patient and family members Insert and remove IV lines Administer drugs, including moderate sedation Monitor patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure Oversee the safety and comfort of patients Provide post-procedure monitoring Circulate IR and Vascular cases intraop Other duties as assigned within the scope of practice Required Skills / Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: BSN required Two years of moderate sedation administration and recovery preferred. Two years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab, preferred. Current license to practice nursing in the state of Texas. ACLS/BLS required. Experience in Pre-Op/PACU, CV, and ICU preferred.
