RN Nurse Supervisor responsible for coordination of total resident care in a long-term care facility. Performs supervisory and professional work directing and coordinating all nursing units. Responsibilities include daily staffing verification, collaborating with charge nurses, making rounds to assess resident conditions, ensuring nursing care plans are followed, performing medication passes, participating in resident care committee meetings, training nursing personnel, answering emergencies, ensuring safe environment, reviewing incident reports, monitoring meal service, and assisting with Quality Improvement Program.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN license/registration with the State Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Experience in the nursing field
  • Supervisory experience in long term care is required
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing theory, techniques and practices
  • Knowledge of dietetic, sanitation, and personal hygiene
  • Knowledge of medications, proper dosage and expected results
  • Skill in handling and manipulating instruments and equipment
