Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse Per Diem at Shady Grove Fertility in Clear Lake, Texas. Per Diem, hours vary as needed; Typical work shifts include on-call hours every other weekend from 5:30 AM to 11:30 PM and/or weekday shifts from 5:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The nurse will utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans, perform initial preoperative assessment, provide comfort measures and psychological support, demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation, administer medications, and provide patient education.

Requirements

Active RN license
Current BLS and ACLS certification
2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
