The Lung Transplant/Thoracic ICU at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career.

We play a critical role within the Thoracic Service Line of Excellence supporting its Norton Thoracic Institute, the only stand-alone lung transplant center in the Nation. Committed to the highest level of patient satisfaction, our ICU unit is a dedicated 24 bed unit that supports St. Joseph's adult thoracic post surgical patients, and medically managed respiratory disorders. We pride ourselves on our quality scores.

Employee satisfaction is a priority. We feature 12-hour shifts self-scheduling and have a nurse to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1. The ICU is fast paced with many learning and educational opportunities available with leadership support.
