Hourly Wage Estimate: $50.35 - $73.63 / hour. Registered Nurse Pre Op position at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. Evaluate patients prior to surgery, provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process, assume responsibility for patient preparation including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification. Participate in surgical site verification including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols. Recognize and respond to patient emergencies. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • 2 Years Critical Care experience required
  • Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required
  • Experience in Meditech and/or EDM Specialty Certification where required; example: Chemotherapy
  • Current ACLS, PALS, CPR certifications required
  • PCAR within one year of hire
  • Complies with hospital employee health, infection control and safety management program
