Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients needing Emergency Services. Assesses patients, implements department protocols and provides appropriate nursing interventions and on-going assessment. Implements life support procedures in emergency situation. Actively facilitates patient flow in the department. Promotes cost consciousness. Treats all patients, families, co-workers and physicians in a customer friendly manner. Maintains accurate records and up-to-date knowledge of emergency nursing procedures and equipment.

Requirements

Current Alabama RN license or a current RN multi-state license (NLC)
BCLS/BLS Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment)
ACLS Certification (must be obtained within first year of employment)
PALS Certification (must be obtained within first year of employment)
TNCC Certification (preferred)
Prior critical care or emergency room experience (preferred)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
