Jackson, Missouri Nursing Nursing Regular Full-time Mercy Hospital Southeast JR265773 Job Description Find your calling at Mercy! The position serves as a lead role within the departments working in conjunction with the practice manager. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner licensed by a State regulatory board to refill medication and assist with treatment. Maintains professional accountability for provision during clinic appointments and patient phone calls. Coordinates the patient care/testing/procedures in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Position Details: Location Mercy Hospital Southeast 2600 East Main Street Jackson, MO Hours/Schedule Full-Time (40-hrs per week), Days Department: Jackson Primary Care Clinic Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. Licensure: Licensed as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the state of practice. Preferred Qualifications: Certification(s): NOTE: One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: • ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) • PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) • S. T. A. B. L. E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. • IV Certification within 1 year of hire. • Other unit-specific certifications as required. Physical Requirements: • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
