Overview

Located in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center is a facility of RWJBarnabas Health and provides a complete continuum of care to residents of northern New Jersey. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. Our facility includes centers for advanced wound care, sleep disorders, bariatrics, orthopedics cardiac services, cancer care, emergency services, and more.

In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients

• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment

• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions

• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care

• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety

• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement in good standing and current American Heart Association BLS certification as well as ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Medical/Surgical and or Telemetry nursing experience preferred, as is the following certifications – MEDSURG-BC (Medical-Surgical Nursing Board Certification), PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse), CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse), and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.

In this position, you will work 7p-7:30a. This position requires every other weekend and holiday required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs.
