*Registered Nurse – Hospice RN Key Responsibilities*

  • Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive patient assessments ensuring hospice eligibility criteria is met
  • Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-care, nutrition, and end‑of‑life needs.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Provide clinical direction to Hospice Aides and LPNs/LVNs.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and progress.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to patient needs promptly.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures
  • Uphold agency policies and professional standards.

*Registered Nurse – Hospice RN Minimum Requirements*

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s).
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) state license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Two years of clinical experience required; hospice experience preferred.

*Work Environment*

  • Care provided in patient homes under varying conditions.
  • Exposure to infectious diseases, blood, and bodily fluids possible.
  • Requires local travel and ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • May involve prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
