About this role

The Iowa River Landing Clinic is seeking a 100% Staff Nurse in our IRL Procedure Suite. The Staff Nurse is charged with the responsibilities of assessing patients’ nursing care needs, evaluating the effectiveness of care provided, integrating nursing theory and research into clinical practices, and ensuring patient care standards are met.

Characteristic Duties And Responsibilities

Apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat and evaluate patient responses. Develop patient care plan based on observations and assessments and recommend interventions to attain expected outcomes. Collaborate and integrate information from patient and family into multidisciplinary patient care plan and evaluate responses. Evaluate the quality of nursing care provided by other staff members. Responsible and accountable for the provision of care for patients. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and serve as a patient advocate.

M-F 07:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential Saturdays, and late shifts. 8 or 10 hours shifts.

Location: Iowa River Landing Rotations: lates and potential Saturday rotations.

Education And Certification Requirements

An Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master’s degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN) is required. A current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by the date of hire. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions. General computer skills are required. Must have current ACLS certification or obtain by agreed start date.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience working in a procedural setting Experience working with EPIC Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Nursing is highly desired; if Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable.
