About this role
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Interventional Cardiac Unit position requiring NH or compact RN license and 2 years of cardiac nursing experience. Work in the Interventional Cardiac Unit (IVCU) of a hospital setting. 18-bed unit staffed with 5 nurses and 2 aides per shift.
Typical patient ratio is 4:1. Cares for patients undergoing cardiac cath lab interventions, vascular surgery, and post-op open heart procedures. Treats STEMI and stroke patients. Uses telemetry monitors, Doppler, cardiac monitors, a-lines, TR bands, and sheaths.
Charts in Meditech Expanse EMR. 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Rotating weekend coverage required.
Floating required to IMCU, PCU, and Med-Surg units. Assignment length: 13 weeks. Start date: Aug 24, 2026.
