Nurse IV Facility Patient Safety Manager leads patient safety and infection prevention initiatives through expert clinical judgment, strategic planning, and effective communication. This role drives program development, evaluates practices, and supports staff involvement to improve outcomes. Duties include conducting surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs), applying knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, and infection control principles, collaborating with clinical staff to implement infection prevention policies, developing and revising local infection prevention policies, providing education and training on infection prevention practices, and communicating infection prevention trends to facility leadership.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • English Language Proficiency
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) and 4 years of professional nursing experience, one equivalent to Nurse III; OR Master's degree in a related field with a BSN and 4 years of professional nursing experience; OR Doctoral degree in nursing and 3 years of professional nursing experience; OR Doctoral degree in a related field with a BSN and 3 years of professional nursing experience
  • Background/security investigation
  • Drug screening
  • Pre-employment physical examination
