Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse for outpatient staff. Provides competent evidence-based specialty care to assigned patients, oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants, patient care coordination, health promotion, health education and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management. Assists in directing nursing education, orientation, competencies and quality improvement. Provides service to patients with acute and/or chronic medical conditions including pulmonology, infectious disease, cardiology, neurology, nephrology, oncology, endocrinology, and rheumatology, as well as surgical specialties including dermatology, ENT, ortho, general surgical, vascular, gynecological, and urology for the outpatient population. Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • English language proficiency
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Background/security investigation
  • Drug screening
  • Selective Service Registration for males born after 12/31/1959
  • Pre-employment physical evaluation
