This Registered Nurse (RN) position is located within the Papillion - CHI Midlands Hospital Campus at 11111 South 84th Street. VA Community Living Centers are a place where Veterans receive extended hospital care and short-term rehabilitation levels of care which includes help with activities of daily living, skilled nursing, and dementia care. This CLC has a total of 33-beds, providing services to eligible Veterans needing 30-90 days of skilled rehabilitation, or dementia/neurocognitive support. The Community Living Center Registered Nurse duties include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care based on age-specific components; coordinating care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction; administering medications and procedures per established policies; performing complex procedures including catheterizations, venipuncture, central line dressing changes, wound care, and heparin or saline flushes; and responding to patient emergencies, initiating life saving measures.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • English Language Proficiency
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Drug screening
  • Background/security investigation
  • Pre-employment physical examination
  • Seasonal influenza vaccination
