Position Details:
Location: Mercy Coletta Cancer Center - Oklahoma City
Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Overview:
The Nurse Navigator is nursing specialist who follows patients across the continuum of care. The Navigator coordinates with an advanced level of clinical expertise, all aspects of treatment and care for, and in collaboration with, Mercy’s patients, their family and significant others, physicians, interdisciplinary team, and other support staff.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an approved school of nursing
Preferred
Education:
Bachelor of Science Nursing
Experience:
2 years related experience

Experience:
3 years in an oncology setting, formal patient education and community educational presentations, and support-group facilitation
Licensure:
RN (Registered nurse) licensed in state of practice
Certification:
BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days of hire is required

Certification in Oncology Nursing or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
Physical
Requirements:
Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
