Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the team at our Carbondale Walk-In Clinic. The role focuses on delivering outstanding patient care through patient monitoring, managing basic care, and accurately updating patient’s records.

Schedule:
4 x10’s, rotating Saturdays

Job
Responsibilities:
Appropriate and accurate charting of patients and procedures
Demonstrate effective knowledge of medical terminology
Assists doctors with office exams and procedures
Appropriately performs/demonstrates knowledge and/or use of:
Vitals: B/P, temperature., resp., pulse, height and weight
Exam room preparation
Medical and Surgical aseptic techniques
Patients’ rights and ethics (patient confidentiality)
Venipuncture
Collecting specimens; PAP's, throat, wound and urine cultures
Routine urine tests
Basic understanding and administration of drugs
Universal precautions
Draping and positioning patients
Recording EKG's
Pulmonary function tests
Use of nebulizer
Injections
PDR and other reference books
Care of surgical instruments and sterilization
Visual acuity testing
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
Current licensure in the State of Pennsylvania
Participates in educational conferences and updates/maintains professional knowledge and skills related to areas of practice
