Rapid Response Team Registered Nurse (RN) at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, a 665-bed quaternary care teaching hospital. The RRT Nurse focuses on specific situations in non-critical care areas, assisting staff in assessing and stabilizing patients, organizing information for physicians, serving as educators over medical-surgical units, and coordinating competencies. Responsibilities include delivering direct patient care, reporting safety issues, communicating with interdisciplinary teams, conducting comprehensive patient assessments, providing evidence-based medications and treatments, and ensuring accurate documentation within EMR. Full-time night shift 7 pm-7:30 a.m., 36 hours per week.

Requirements

Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing
Current American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire
ACLS must be completed within 120 days of hire
CCRN Certification preferred
Associate of Science in Nursing degree required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum 2 years experience in Critical Care Nursing, ICU or ED highly preferred
Must be comfortable with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC
