Serves as Chief Administrative Officer in the absence of Hospital Administrative Staff. Interfaces with all departments in order to solve problems in the absence of Administration or appropriate management. Makes rounds on all units to support nursing and help problem solve by coaching and mentoring Charge Nurses and staff RN's. Works with the Resource Staffing Department to help stabilize core staffing levels throughout the hospital. Responds to and manages patient/family and physician complaints. Reviews all deaths for Medical Examiner/Coroner. Serves in the role of Planning Chief and temporary Incident Commander in the event of a disaster. Collaborates with and directs Security on miscellaneous issues. Works with and assists Public Relations to meet the needs of the news media.

Requirements
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working
- Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- In lieu of BSN, a nursing diploma or an Associate's Degree in Nursing may be considered if applicant signs a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to enroll in an accredited BSN or MSN program within one year and obtain a BSN or MSN degree within four (4) years
- Three (3) years of Nursing experience (Five (5) years preferred)
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working
- Ability to demonstrate superior and effective communication skills
