About this role

The Nurse Community Living Center (CLC) Registered Nurse (RN) executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex resident care. Duties include collaborating in development and revision of policies and procedures, providing constructive feedback to peers, supporting colleagues through knowledge sharing, evaluating outcomes of evidence-based decisions, performing comprehensive physical psychological and social assessments, documenting care per RAI/MDS guidelines, and providing resident-centered care based on CLC guidelines. Position is at VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Tacoma, WA. Salary range $87,285 - $161,201 per year. Work schedule 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with rotating weekends.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or District of Columbia
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • English language proficiency
  • Background/security investigation
  • Drug screening (urinalysis)
  • Pre-employment physical examination
  • Selective Service Registration for males born after 12/31/1959
