Overview

This registered nurse (RN) position involves providing direct patient care, education, and care transitions in a Hospital Internal Medicine unit with 24 beds. The RN supports professional practice, collaborates with the nursing team, and assumes leadership roles such as preceptor and quality improvement contributor.

Responsibilities

Coordinate nursing care across all phases, ensuring patient safety and quality standards. Manage complex discharge planning for patients with acute or chronic conditions. Delegate tasks based on skill, experience, and patient acuity. Mentor, teach, and participate in committee or project activities. Support a multidisciplinary team to meet patient and family needs.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate from an accredited nursing program; one year of RN or LPN experience preferred. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Proficiency in electronic medical records; adaptability to flexible hours and settings. Current RN license, BLS certification, and additional certifications as required.
