About this role

Clinical Research Nursing position at UW Health's Clinical Research Unit. RN provides direct patient care to outpatient adults participating in research studies across multiple disciplines, including oncology, with anticipated expansion to Alzheimer's disease, pulmonary, endocrine/metabolic, infectious disease, and healthy volunteer studies. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and novel treatments, obtaining vital signs, performing venipuncture, ECGs, accessing central lines and ports, comprehensive assessments, processing laboratory samples per research protocols, and assisting with research study protocol implementation. 90% FTE, Day/Evening shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 8:30 pm at Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, WI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred
  • 6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience - Required
  • Previous moderate sedation experience (EP Lab) - Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state(s) where patients are receiving care - Required upon hire
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Certification - Required upon hire
  • Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience - Preferred
  • Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty - Preferred
  • Experience in an academic medical setting - Preferred
