Make a real difference in the health and well-being of students with this rewarding full-time contract position as a school-based RN in the Yerington, NV area. This is an itinerant role that allows you to serve across multiple elementary and secondary campuses, offering variety and the opportunity to impact a broad student population. The assignment runs from August 4, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with on-site hours totaling 30-33 hours per week.
Desired Qualifications
Current and unrestricted RN license valid in Nevada
Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Understanding of the Nurse Practice Act and ability to perform specialized procedures within licensure
Ability to work independently and efficiently while traveling between sites
CPR and First Aid certification
Core Responsibilities
Conduct initial health screenings for students and provide referrals when necessary
Respond swiftly to emergencies, administering urgent nursing care for illness or injuries
Maintain accurate records of immunizations and communicable disease status in compliance with state requirements
Order and manage supplies for school health offices to ensure smooth daily operations
Dispense prescribed medications to students according to district protocols and with proper permissions
Provide routine healthcare services and address both scheduled and emergency health needs of students and staff
Work Schedule
Elementary schools: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–3:15 pm
Secondary schools: Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–2:15 pm
