Registered Nurse - A6 – Cardiac IMC / Telemetry

A6 is a 27-bed fast paced unit. We provide care for cardiac patients who have undergone a cardiac intervention from the cath lab which includes stent placement, pacemaker placement, and diagnostic angiograms. We also care for the patients who have chosen to undergo Watchman and Mitraclip procedures. We manage patients with congestive heart failure, NSTEMI, STEMI, pre-CABG, and peripheral vascular occlusions. We do have patients with cardiac drips and also take medical-surgical overflow patients from the ER. We have a strong working relationship with our cardiologists and hospitalists. A6 has a dedicated team that is known for delivering exceptional high-quality patient care together with outstanding customer service. The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
