- Deliver comprehensive pediatric patient care in home environments, including administering treatments and therapies aligned with individualized care plans

- Assist children with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as feeding, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence
- Develop, implement, and monitor occupational therapy programs tailored to each child's unique needs and developmental goals
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments to evaluate motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
- Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care strategies
- Support discharge planning by preparing families for ongoing care needs post-treatment and providing education on therapy techniques
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with clinical standards and confidentiality regulations
Skills
- Proven experience working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental challenges
- Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to home health care
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and implementing occupational therapy programs that enhance functional independence
- Experience working across various settings such as outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments
- Ability to develop treatment plans based on evidence-based practices tailored to pediatric populations
- Excellent client communication skills to effectively educate families and caregivers on therapy techniques and progress updates
- Familiarity with clinical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management for accurate record keeping
- Knowledge of post-acute care processes including discharge planning and case management for pediatric patients
- Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities in early intervention or outpatient settings is highly valued
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional team to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care
