Overview Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D) position in Liberal, Kansas. Travel assignment beginning 08/10/2026 for approximately 13 weeks. Night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am), 3x12s. Weekly pay range: $2,284–$2,452. Hospital setting. This assignment requires an active Kansas RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NRP, and a focus on L&D with postpartum, couplet care, newborn nursery, and OB/GYN post-op patient support. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,284–$2,452 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 3x12s (7:00 pm–7:00 am) Start date: 08/10/2026 Setting: Hospital, labor and delivery/OB care Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum, circumstantial newborn care, and OB/GYN post-op patients as needed Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, and respond to obstetric emergencies per clinical protocol Support coupled care, newborn nursery, and postnatal care with family education and discharge planning Document care precisely in the electronic medical record and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and ancillary staff to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes Maintain infection control practices, patient privacy, and compassionate, patient-centered care Requirements Active Kansas RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications Minimum 3 years of RN experience; L&D experience preferred Education: graduation from an accredited RN program; current licensure to practice Ability to work in an L&D setting with postpartum, couplet care, newborn nursery, and OB/GYN post-op patients Must have completed 2 prior travel contracts; no first-time travelers On-site drug screen (DS) and required compliance items completed Must be located more than 45 miles from the facility; mileage must be listed on submission packet Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment Dedicated assignment support to help with housing logistics and credentialing Fast credentialing pathways to facilitate start Nationwide travel assignments with clinical support Opportunities for contract extension based on performance and agency needs Find more opportunities If this role isn’t a fit, explore other openings available at Healthforce Healthcare LLC: https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply PAY DISCLAIMER RULE Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
