Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions in a geriatric population
  • Provide direct nursing care, including activities of daily living support and basic clinical tasks
  • Perform wound care, skin assessments, and monitor overall skin integrity
  • Collect patient data, measure vitals, observe changes in condition, and document accurately in the charting system
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and care teams to update and implement care plans
  • Maintain safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols; ensure proper documentation and reporting of concerns

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse license; Rhode Island licensure or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
  • Ability to perform nursing duties in a long-term care setting
  • Availability to work the stated shift (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) with every-other-weekend duties
  • Successful completion of standard pre-employment screenings as required by policy
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with attention to documentation accuracy
