Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions in a geriatric population
- Provide direct nursing care, including activities of daily living support and basic clinical tasks
- Perform wound care, skin assessments, and monitor overall skin integrity
- Collect patient data, measure vitals, observe changes in condition, and document accurately in the charting system
- Collaborate with registered nurses and care teams to update and implement care plans
- Maintain safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols; ensure proper documentation and reporting of concerns
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license; Rhode Island licensure or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
- Ability to perform nursing duties in a long-term care setting
- Availability to work the stated shift (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) with every-other-weekend duties
- Successful completion of standard pre-employment screenings as required by policy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with attention to documentation accuracy
