Facility: Sanford Med Ctr Fargo. 32-bed adult medical-surgical-trauma unit that gets to test out new technologies and care models. Common diagnoses include post-op bariatrics and general surgeries, trauma, amputations, orthopedic traumas, sepsis, complex wounds, GI bleeds, cellulitis, post-fall complications. Fast-paced unit with clinically complex patients. Sanford Health Fargo is North Dakota's ONLY Level 1 Trauma Center. The Innovation Unit was named a Top Innovation Program by Becker's Hospital Review. Innovation Projects include: virtual nursing, smart hospital beds, and electronic whiteboards. Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 on Days/Evenings and 1:5-6 on Nights. NEW GRADS WELCOME! The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing (preferred)
  • Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing
  • Multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  • Department specific competencies and certifications
  • Drug screen
  • Pre-employment background screening
