LPN/RN – Allergy & Asthma Office Full/Part Time

Smith Allergy & Asthma Specialists of CNY is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing specialty practice. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys building relationships with patients, working as part of a team, and providing hands-on care in a busy outpatient setting.

Our practice specializes in the evaluation and treatment of allergies, asthma, and immunologic conditions, with a strong focus on providing excellent and efficient patient care.

The LPN/RN will work closely with our physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing team, and office staff. Responsibilities may include:

Administer allergy immunotherapy injections and monitor patients following injections Administer biologic medications and other physician-ordered injections Monitor patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately to emergencies Perform and assist with pulmonary function testing and other allergy/asthma testing Obtain and document vital signs, medication histories, and patient information Room Patients for Provider Exams Assist providers during patient visits as needed Perform telephone triage and communicate patient concerns to providers Process prescription refill requests and provider orders Provide patient education regarding medications, injections, testing, and treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Maintain exam rooms, nursing areas, medications, and clinical supplies Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and emergency-response procedures Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and front-office staff to maintain efficient patient flow Assist with additional clinical and administrative responsibilities as needed Qualifications Current New York State LPN license or New York State RN License in good standing Current BLS certification preferred Previous outpatient, primary care, allergy/asthma, or specialty-office experience is preferred but not required Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Comfortable administering injections and medications Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes in a patient's condition Strong attention to detail and documentation Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy medical office Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Comfortable learning new clinical procedures and specialty-specific protocols What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is reliable, positive, flexible, and willing to be part of a team. The ideal candidate understands that providing excellent patient care requires communication and collaboration between nursing staff, providers, and the front office.

Experience in allergy and asthma is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right LPN/RN who is eager to learn the specialty.
