Assistant Director of Nursing

The primary purpose of the job position is to assist the Director of Nursing in managing overall operation of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern this facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Essential job functions include establishing priorities and job assignments, monitoring unit activities, maintaining records, managing budgets and supplies, conducting regular rounds to monitor resident activity, developing and maintaining nursing care objectives and standards, inspecting the facility for compliance with federal state and local standards, assisting in development of Patient Care Plans, reviewing Infection Control Reports and Medication Incident Reports, and complying with safety and infection control procedures.
