Registered Nurse- Part Time

Part time is (2) • 10 hour shifts a week. Iowa Medical and Classification Center (IMCC) serves as the reception and classification center for all those entering the adult male institutional corrections system. IMCC is a multi-faceted facility that employs a diversified professional workforce providing comprehensive services to both offenders and patients. A medium security general population unit is in operation at IMCC, and the Center also runs the only licensed forensic psychiatric hospital in the state, providing inpatient psychiatric and evaluation services to non-adjudicated patients. Duties include coordinating health services for the general patient population, completing health appraisals, conducting health clinics, physical examinations, maintaining electronic medical records, collaborating with interdisciplinary health team, responding to medical emergencies, assisting medical practitioners, completing lab services including phlebotomy and EKGs, assisting with telemedicine and x-ray services, and central supply tasks.
