MCC Clinical RN - Intermediate

The MCC Clinical Registered Nurse—Intermediate provides direct nursing care to patients at the Mays Cancer Center. The nurse demonstrates independence when preparing equipment and aiding physicians during patient treatment and examination. The nurse works under the limited supervision of the department leadership. Responsibilities include assisting medical providers and mid-levels in the clinical setting, performing complex medical testing, consulting with physicians, implementing treatment plans, administering medications and injections, chart preparation, scheduling referrals and follow-up appointments, calling in prescriptions and refills, obtaining prior authorizations, triaging patient calls, arranging hospital admissions, and following up on diagnostic tests and labs.
