About this role
The Registered Nurse - Operating Room / Circulator works collaboratively with the entire perioperative professional team to meet the patients needs, and is accountable for the outcomes resulting from the nursing care provided during the operative or procedure phase of the patients stay. Major responsibilities include performing circulating duties, positioning patients, monitoring aseptic technique, assisting with postoperative medications and dressings, assisting anesthesia provider with intubation and extubation, handling specimens, and operating and troubleshooting equipment.

Certifications

Requirements
Current Colorado RN nursing license in good standing
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
Current Colorado RN nursing license in good standing
BLS certification
Must complete ACLS and PALS certification within three months of hire
2 years OR experience
Prefer OR experience in ophthalmology and outpatient surgery
Knowledge of specialized equipment used in operating room
Knowledge of proper use of BIs, chemical indicators, preparation of wrapped loads and proper use of autoclaves
