OR Registered Nurse position at Stamford Ambulatory Surgical Center (Spire Orthopedic Partners). Responsibilities include consulting and coordinating with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans; assessing and monitoring patients' vital signs; assisting in positioning the patient and assuring safety; providing accurate care and handling of specimens; observing and monitoring equipment used during surgery; handling patient documentation; inventorying items pre- and post-surgery; ensuring correct patient and procedure through Time Out procedure; providing basic bedside care; prepping operating room; prepping patients' operative area using aseptic technique; monitoring patients' physical well-being; and potentially scrubbing in on procedures including surgical hand scrubbing, selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
