Registered Nurse - Cardiac IMCU

Telemetry is a 36-bed unit that consists of all private rooms. The unit provides continuous cardiac monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry for all patients. Patients admitted to Telemetry have a cardiac medical-surgical diagnosis including those that are requiring cardiac catheterization for intervention and/or diagnostic tests. The unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment rich with opportunity for learning and growing. We use a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that encourages the team to work with physicians, nursing staff, rehab, respiratory team, dietary and other ancillary team to provide the most comprehensive care for our patients. The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
