Some job responsibilities include
- The primary purpose of your position is to provide direct nursing care to residents; to plan their care; to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by household staff and other nursing personnel; to monitor the performance of household staff, nursing and non-licensed personnel; provide education and counseling; perform counseling, educational, and corrective action as necessary; and complete performance evaluations.
- Ensure that all assigned nursing personnel including household staff comply with the written policies and procedures established by the Facility.
- Evaluate/assess all residents with a change in condition daily, including suspected abuse.
- Ensure physician/family notification and documentation of changes in condition.
- Ensure proper procedures and policies for assisting with medications including accuracy, documentation, orders, etc., are followed for every medication daily.
- Complete admission/discharge procedures.
Education and Experience
- Must possess at a minimum a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved LPN/LVN/ program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Three (3) years’ experience in geriatric nursing and supervisor experience preferred.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a LPN/LVN in this state.
