Job Title: Unit Manager (RN) – Skilled Nursing
Location: Redmont Health and Rehabilitation Center – Birmingham, Alabama
Redmont Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Unit Manager (RN) to oversee clinical operations on an assigned unit within our skilled nursing facility in Birmingham, AL.
This is a key leadership role focused on driving quality care, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring strong clinical outcomes. The Unit Manager will also support treatment oversight and infection prevention efforts within the facility.
What You'll Do:
Oversee daily clinical operations on assigned unit
Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Ensure high-quality resident care and adherence to care plans
Assist with and oversee treatments, wound care, and skin integrity monitoring
Support infection prevention and control practices, including tracking and reporting
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Assist with survey readiness and quality improvement initiatives
Communicate with interdisciplinary team to support resident outcomes
What We're Looking For:
Active RN license in the state of Alabama
Skilled nursing or long-term care experience required
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Experience with treatments and wound care preferred
Knowledge of infection prevention practices
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
