Maintains confidential health records and generates departmental reports in compliance with State, Federal, OSHA, CDC and Joint Commission regulations. Complies with AAOHN standards of practice. Assists with new employee physical evaluation program and return to work program. Essential Functions Administers nursing care to sick and injured employees. Facilitates and directs medical intervention when needed. Provides case management for work related injuries. Prepares all state and insurance reporting forms or ensures that they are completed by support staff. Directs the injured employee to the appropriate medical provider. Establishes a communication network with the workers compensation claim managers, providers, employee and his supervisor/manager. Monitors all surgeries, diagnostic procedures and other treatment protocols for workers compensation injuries. Verifies, monitors and reports all lost time for payment of temporary total disability. Directs and monitors the transitional duty program. Performs post job offer physical assessments for all new hires to determine fitness for duty. Coordinates/communicates with the department Medical Consultant and/or the Infection Control Chair regarding fitness for duty, ADA and infection control issues. Education a BSN Required or ADN Required Experience 2+ years nursing experience Required Case Management, Occupational Health, ER or community health experience Preferred Computer experience with Microsoft Office Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability to communicate effectively. Good organizational skills required. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, walk, and stand frequently. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 35 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to lift above head occasionally. Must be able to drive and provide own transportation. Licenses and Certifications BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required License RN-Registered Nurse (30) - State of Wisconsin required This is a full-time position, M-F 7:30am-4pm.
