About this role

Permanent Full-Time Registered Nurse - Emergency Department position for Patient Care Services within the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. The ED RN provides urgent and emergent care to patients with acute and/or chronic medical, surgical, and psychiatric conditions. Nursing care ranges from basic nursing care to stabilization, resuscitation, and life-support measures. Responsibilities include triage using five-level triage system, patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical leadership.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • English Language Proficiency
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • Background/security investigation
  • Drug screening (urinalysis)
  • Selective Service Registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
  • Seasonal influenza vaccination program participation
