AWARE is looking for the right person to join the team as a PACT advanced practice registered nurse. The role involves working within a treatment team to provide coordinated mental/behavioral health care to patients, including creating psychiatric care plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing psychiatric medications, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, and providing education and support to staff, patients, and families.

Requirements

APRN licensure in state of employment or compact party state
Board certification
Prescriptive authorization
Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
APRN licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and be board certified
ANCC or AANP Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or equivalent experience
Must have prescriptive authorization
Thorough knowledge and skills in providing psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults, including those with co-existing intellectual/developmental disabilities
Accurate and effective written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working as part of and sharing decision-making with a therapeutic team
Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, medical records and point-of-interview technology
