Requirements
- APRN licensure in state of employment or compact party state
- Board certification
- Prescriptive authorization
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
- APRN licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and be board certified
- ANCC or AANP Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or equivalent experience
- Must have prescriptive authorization
- Thorough knowledge and skills in providing psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults, including those with co-existing intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Accurate and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working as part of and sharing decision-making with a therapeutic team
- Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, medical records and point-of-interview technology
