Registered Nurse - Oncology Care Coordination

Job Summary This role involves practicing professional nursing through independent and delegated medical functions, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various conditions. The nurse will build strong relationships with patients, assess health data, prioritize needs, and respond to emergencies. Responsibilities include ensuring safety and quality in patient care, administering medications and therapies, providing health education, and coordinating care across services. The position requires adherence to safety policies, effective communication, and advocacy for patients. Responsibilities Comply with safety, quality, and emergency policies, ensuring patient safety during care delivery. Assess health status through data collection and analysis to develop care plans. Triages patients via in-person or phone consultations and initiates appropriate actions. Evaluate emergencies and perform necessary nursing interventions. Provide health teaching and counseling to patients and families. Execute delegated medical functions, administer medications, and monitor therapy plans. Coordinate and integrate care across healthcare services, managing patient populations and promoting effective nursing practices. Advocate for patients’ needs and ensure quality care delivery. Qualifications & Skills Minimum one year of RN experience, including oncology within the past five years. Graduate of an approved RN program with clinical experience supervised by faculty or preceptor. Current RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Certifications in chemotherapy and immunotherapy preferred. Strong customer service, critical thinking, IV skills, and team collaboration abilities. Additional Info Wage premiums may apply based on collective bargaining agreements. Travel between clinics in the Denver/Boulder region required.
