Fargo Center for Dermatology has recently joined forces with Tareen Dermatology, a leading dermatology practice based in Minnesota.
We are seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse to join our growing team.
The Medical Assistant works closely with our providers to deliver exceptional patient care. This role includes preparing patients for visits, documenting medical encounters, assisting with procedures, providing patient education, and helping ensure a seamless experience throughout each patient’s visit.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, and is passionate about providing outstanding care and creating a positive experience for every patient.
- Qualifications
- Required
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Active North Dakota LPN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Preferred
- Dermatology experience
- Previous outpatient clinic experience
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Multi-state compact nursing license
- What You Will Do
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Obtain and document patient medical histories and vital signs
- Accurately document provider encounters within the EMR
- Assist physicians with biopsies, excisions, cosmetic procedures, and other treatments
- Provide wound care, suture removal, and post-procedure instructions
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans
- Handle and label specimens according to established protocols
- Generate orders and coordinate patient care as directed by providers
- Maintain exam room cleanliness, supplies, and equipment
- Follow OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and clinic safety standards
- Participate in clinic training and support activities as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
