Neuro ICU- Resident RN Nights

An OU Health Registered Nurse (RN) I works under general supervision, providing the highest quality of care to patients in a hospital setting with health problems ranging from simple to complex. RN I represents the nurse who is a novice or an advanced beginner advancing to competent. Essential responsibilities include assuming responsibility for assigned patients, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, assisting physicians in examinations and diagnostic procedures, obtaining and monitoring physiological data, administering medication, initiating and monitoring intravenous infusions, delivering patient care safely, resolving patient complaints, informing patients and families of hospital procedures, making referrals, and delegating tasks to clinical support staff.
