The Nurse Educator 2 is a Registered Nurse responsible for multi-site or specialty-specific professional development of the staff. The Nurse Educator 2 fulfills multi-site/specialty unit(s) functions according to the Nursing Professional Development (NPD) roles of learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, advocate for NPD specialty, and partner for practice transitions. The incumbent carries out these responsibilities in alignment with the current Nursing Professional Development Scope & Standards of Practice and utilizing the nursing process as applied to the specialty (assessment, learning needs and outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
