Director of Nursing (Upcoming Opening) at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Danville, Virginia. Anticipated Hire Date: October–November. The DON is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all nursing services while fostering a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, teamwork, and compassion. Partners closely with the Administration team, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary departments to ensure the highest standards of resident care and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
Active and unrestricted Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) License
Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience
Previous supervisory and leadership experience in nursing operations
Experience with employee relations, performance management, and team leadership
Experience in staff development, training, and clinical education
Exposure to or working knowledge of staffing, scheduling, and workforce management
Experience using PCC (PointClickCare) electronic medical records
Experience with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, processes, and reimbursement-related documentation
