Staff Development Coordinator

The Staff Development Coordinator plans, implements, and evaluates all education, orientation, and competency programs for nursing and support staff. This role fosters a culture of continuous learning, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports high-quality resident care. Key responsibilities include designing and delivering orientation programs, developing mandatory in-services, organizing annual skills fairs, maintaining education calendar and LMS, collaborating with Infection Preventionist on CDC/CMS-aligned education, ensuring regulatory compliance with CMS/OSHA/state DPH requirements, maintaining training records for survey readiness, assisting with QAPI initiatives, coaching and mentoring nurses and CNAs, coordinating preceptor programs and student affiliations, coordinating emergency preparedness drills, tracking staff immunizations and TB testing, managing education budget and supplies, and preparing reports for leadership/QAPI meetings.
